Guelph Curling is extending an invitation to the many diverse communities within Guelph and the surrounding areas to come out and try curling on September 28, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 pm. What we have learned from speaking with many of the residents who came by to say hi at the Guelph & District Multicultural Festival is that there is a genuine interest in the sport, but until now, there have not been many open opportunities to come and try it. From that, we have come up with the following opportunity:
1. A fun introductory session where we will help make you comfortable on ice and provide instruction on proper techniques so that you can enjoy the sport for years.
2. We will supply the curling equipment, you just need a clean pair of running shoes to change into upon arrival and some warm athletic wear. Participants 12 years of age and under are required to wear a helmet (hockey, skiing/snowboarding, etc).
3. The learn-to-curl session will be complimentary for anyone 7 years of age or older who wants to come out and try it.
4. There will be food vendors from the Multicultural Festival on-site selling some amazing food options after the curling.
