Practice Ice

The Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health Unit is in the Red (Control) health measure as of December 14, 2020.  With this move, all leagues at the Guelph Curling Club are postponed at least 28 days (until January 11, 2021).  At Red Level, the Guelph Curling Club is allowed to have 10 people in the building at one time, plus staff.  Important: Upon arrival you cannot enter the building until the start of your scheduled practice time and must practice and exit the club within your scheduled time.

Practice ice is available free-of-charge to members and for the cost of $20 an hour ($40 for two hours) for non-members.  Please pay your fee upon arrival and before entering the ice surface.

Practice ice is intended for curlers with experience and their own, well-maintained curling equipment.

Ice Availability

When booking ice, please indicate if you are a member or non-member, the length of time (1 hr. or 2 hrs.), names of attendees (max. 4) and preferred start time.  Club may limit members to 1 hr. time slot due to demand.  Please only book for curlers you know are attending.  Upon a confirmation email from the club you will be obligated to that number and both members and non-members will be charged the rental fee for no shows.

Due to the limited availability of practice ice, you must reserve your sheet at least 24 hours in advance. To schedule email curling@guelphcurlingclub.com.

Note: Practice time is in flex.  Keep checking website for possible additional ice availability.  There is lag time between email bookings and website calendar updates so requests are not final until confirmed by office.  f current times don’t suit, please let us know and the club may adjust ice availability if others indicate the same.

All attendees before entering the facility will be asked to self-assess prior to entering the club building:
